We will begin CAASPP testing next Tuesday, April 30th instead of Monday.  The kids could use one more day of preparation.  All the kids need corded headphones or earbuds for testing.  I have a few sets of earbuds in class for loan, but it's better if the kids have their own, if possible.  Homework will be light during testing.  Reading and practicing play parts and songs will be the main homework, and some kids may need to catch up on writing or projects from class.  It's important for the kids to get plenty of rest during testing, and to eat a healthy and hearty breakfast in the morning.  The kids are welcome to bring a snack to munch on in class during testing.  They enjoy this!  Please do not send nut products for snacks.  We will test Tuesday - Friday morning from 8:30 to around 10:00.  Please avoid appointments during these times.

 

The kids will have the option to complete an OPTIONAL project on Fullerton history in the coming weeks before Open House.  This project is a choice- it is not required, but many of the kids are excited about it.  Information about the project will come home on Monday.  Please review it and decide what works for you as a family.  

 

Our next school spirit day is Wednesday, May 1, and it's Aloha Day!  The kids are invited to don some sunglasses and dress in tropical attire!  Please see the flyer attached to the email for more details.

 

The kids had so much fun learning about the science of sound and the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling with musician John from Bash the Trash!  We enjoyed a virtual class and got to make our own instruments from all the recycled materials brought to class.  We "jammed" along with John using our instruments.
